At the Museum, there’s a lot to do
But the surrounding areas have plenty too!
After your visit here, why not
Become a BFG at Bekonscot?
This old model village fascinates,
For back to the 1930s it dates.
With railways, churches, and even a wood,
You tower above like the BFG could!

If that is not your cup of tea,
Odds farm is where you should definitely be!
Have fun, play, and educate yourself, true,
With sheep and pigs and cows that moo.
Beware – poachers are not allowed,
Like that Mr Fox and Danny crowd.

If you want a thrilling and adventurous date,
Visit Go Ape with your mate!
Ladders, walkways and tunnels made of wood,
Like a mugglewump, you will feel good.
Swinging from tree to tree with rope,
If you’re daring, you'll try, I hope.

If you want to meet the giraffe and the pelly,
At Whipsnade Zoo you’ll find all things hairy.
Golden haired lions and giant crocs,
It’s different in pictures or on the box.
At the Natural History Museum at Tring,
You will also find this sort of thing.
Birds, reptiles and even a horse,
The only difference is they are stuffed, of course.

If it's more of Roald Dahl you want,
Set off to Aylesbury on a jaunt.
At the Roald Dahl Children's Gallery, you'll see,
Tunnels, inventions, beasts – two or three.
If nothing else suits you, don't sit and brood,
Just take a walk in the beautiful Angling Spring Wood.
