Spark creative writing in your class...

Our great little Museum will inspire pupils from Year 3 to Year 7 to find pleasure in reading and writing creatively. Taking the lead from one of the world's greatest children's authors, pupils will be encouraged to play with language, create colourful characters and think up perfect plots.

Children eager to answer questions in Miss Honey's Classroom.

The biographical galleries reveal the stories behind the stories, while the Story Centre lets pupils' imaginations take centre stage. Here they can create a stop-frame animation, fashion a photo-fit character and explore a replica of Roald Dahl's famous writing hut, all the while dressed as a character of their own invention - or Roald Dahl's.

Roald Dahl Museum is awarded the 'Learning Outside the Clssroom' badge.

"The children really enjoyed it and one of the boys even told me he wants to be a writer now...the desired effect!" Year 3 class teacher
